About Create áyA

Create áyA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized artists and revitalizing Indigenous cultural practices through art, education, and community-centered experiences. Through our Creative Nations gallery at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, CO, and annual Indigenous arts and comics festival, áyA Con, in Denver, CO, we support professional development, foster cultural reconnection, and challenge colonial narratives in representation and storytelling. Together, these initiatives amplify underrepresented voices, promote creative resistance, and cultivate a more just, inclusive, and culturally grounded art ecosystem.

Panels, Workshops & Skill Building

In partnership with local businesses and organizations, Create áyA offers multigenerational connections through artist-led workshops and skill-building opportunities. The program brings together individuals whose paths may not otherwise cross and explores how art and creative practices can be used as tools for healing and for revitalizing cultural knowledge.
